RESTYLING FAMILY JEWELRY
Passed down from mother to daughter, family jewelry tells stories. The style may not be yours, but the sentiment is. I will collaborate with you to figure out how to bring your most treasured heirlooms into your current sense of style.
This setting was designed to showcase a diamond from my client's mom. The old solitaire setting was worn out and impractical for everyday wear. This sculptural design frames and protects the gems and is comfortable for everyday wear.
The setting I created for this unusual, large, pear shape diamond was ultimately a very wearable ring.
HONORING A MEMORY
At times it seems like the only thing to do is create a "Memory Piece", something to remind us of something or someone special. At Trios Studio, we created many such pieces. Sometimes from family jewelry, at times as a Reliquary with hair or ashes inside, or sculpting the likeness of a loyal and beloved pet, these pieces have special meaning.
I turned a distinctive signature into a pendant by hand carving it in wax then casting in 14k gold
This custom bracelet commemorates a 30th wedding anniversary by featuring 30 gold balls and an annual family trip rafting the John Day River. The contours on the bracelet are the contours of the river.
I created this pendant charm of a beloved pet in 14k gold
This wedding set memorialized a favorite Fender Stratocaster. The two rings fit together to make a whole guitar. His was size 15 and hers was a size 7. Her engagement ring is the pick that fits into her band. The rings are cast in 14k yellow gold. I added the 14k rose gold pick guards and 14k white gold barb wire accents that encircle both rings after the initial castings. Note the characteristic slanted Stratocaster pick up!
